The Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air is concerned with the aggravating problem of organized crime groups for smuggling persons.

Recommends that the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime take into account the priority areas for technical assistance identified during the course of the Implementation Review Mechanism in the development, implementation and, if required, revisions of its thematic, regional and country programmes; The international community's resolve needs to be translated into action across all regional processes and initiatives.
